Have i got flu or glandular fever?
this is day five of my illness. I wake up a absolutely splitting head ache more like a migraine the way it makes my face scrunch up. I can get out of bed because my hips and my back hurt so much. My armpits have a cold ache and my throat is red raw. My glands are a little swollen. Finally I use my mobile to call someone to bring me pain killers 30 Min's later i can get out of bed, By now its soaked through , it broke my mobile phone it was so wet from sweating. its been 22c and i have had the windows closed with 2 duvets im so cold.But the afternoon i have gone back to sleep , have a horrific sleep and wake up with the same again , but then i start to feel better, i can eat a little i walk downstairs, this last about an hour before i get so tired i go back to bed and wake up at 3am with the same thing again , Its not got any better,whats ur diagnosis?ps paracetamol and ibroprofen have stopped working , any ideas?

Could I possibly have glandular fever?
I recently had, what I was told by the doctor, a virus. For thee or four days I had a temperature of 100.00 degrees but that has passed now and I appear to be getting over this 'virus'. However, I've notice that I have a lot less energy than usual and it sounds really strange but my underarms feel tender. Also I have been excessively sweating for no reason at all, it happens when I am doing nothing. I'd like to point out I don't usually sweat like that, this is a lot and for no reason at all. Is it possible that I could have glandular fever or am I just being paranoid?

Is it dangerous playing rugby with tonsillitis possibly glandular fever?
it's the end of the season and i play for my school, the last school rugby game is today and my club game is on sunday, having blood tests today as well to test for glandular fever

I think I have glandular fever but the doctor said i don't?
I'm 14 and I've been feeling exhausted for weeks now and a few days ago i got this really bad sore throat that hasn't cleared yet. I also had a headache for about 3 4 days but that's gone now. The doctor suspected i had glandular fever so i had a blood test but the result said i didn't. I've looked it up and i really think a lot of my symptoms match to glandular fever. I'm still completely exhausted and I was wondering if there's anything else I may have instead? Also, i have to go to school on wednesday so do you think I should do P.E, or will that make me feel worse?? sorry, I just know it's more than a cold.I also haven't had much of an appetite and I haven't eaten a proper meal for about 4 days now

Can glandular fever be passed on via sex?
Ive done some googling on the topic but all I can find is that it's passed on through saliva. I'm not going to risk my boyfriends health, but he keeps reassuring me he can't catch it from sex. I'm under the assumption its all bodily fluids... Any ideas guys?

The guy i kissed last friday now has glandular fever, what are the chances of me having it?

about 8 weeks ago i was diagnosed with glandular fever. it's likely that my boyfriend has caught the disease also, but he hasn't gone to the doctor as he has exams and doesn't want to know if he is sick or not. now that i have recovered, could i catch it back from him? we haven't been kissing since i was diagnosed, but i don't want to catch it again and am willing to wait if there's a chance he has it and i could get it. please answer.

I have glandular fever but I'm not tired?
I've had major symptoms for a few days, but every time I see someone their like 'aren t you tired? But the funny thing is, is that I m not any more tired that usual. I've stopped doing physical activity under doctor s orders and yes, I defiantly do have glandular fever, I ve had a blood test done . So why I am not majorly tired? If anything I m waking up more in the middle of the night because of pain.Thank you

Does this indicate glandular fever?
I've been having a throat ache in the mornings for 2 weeks now. It's odd because It's not really bothering me during the day. Also, I'm not tired but my eyes are, a feeling of just waking up with some " eye boogers" . What else could this be besides the Epstein Bar virus? I'm usually not sick for such a long period.

Me and my boyfriend went on a break for 2 weeks and we both kissed other people. During this time, he kissed a girl who had recovered from glandular fever like 3 weeks before.. Could she have passed it on to him even though she was recovered? and can he now pass it on to me????

Is this glandular fever?
Since last December I have been struck down with some kind of virus. My glands have been up constantly ever since. With this repeated sore throat that keeps coming back. At the time when I feel ill one of the doctors thought it was anxiety. This has gone on for four months now and still I wake up feeling sick in the night, with glands problems. A week ago I saw another GP, who suspects I might of had glandular fever. Due to my fear of blood tests and reveal attempts to have them done. I still been unable to. I have bad veins and it takes ages for them to find one. I really want to get to the bottom of this and feel ready to try to have this blood test again. For the past few months I feel very tired, with little angry to do much. Headaches, sensitive to light, and my legs feel like jelly contently. Is this glandular fever, will this start to lift soon. I have my heart set on a new job coming up. Thank you for taking the time to read my message

Tonsillitis or Glandular Fever?
Hi I went to the Doctors yesterday feeling Poo. I was the last patient as there was no appointments left. I think I may have glandular fever...She looked at my throat and I had pus on my tonsils...She didn't take my temperature or blood pressure. The consultation didn't even last 2 minutes. She just wanted me in and out. So she said if the antibiotics don't clear the tonsillitis to come back for bloods to see if it is glandular fever. Now when my friend went they done bloods there and then. I am so tired and cannot sleep because of the pain, hence me being awake at this time. I don't drive so can't really go to A& E i'm a Uni student I did have septicemia last term so I am quite immunocompressed. I was wondering what should I do, It does seem a bit chaotic to phone for an ambulance. I have just took my temp now and it is high. Thanks xx

Glandular Fever - Chance of also catching?
My girlfriend had a sore throat on Saturday, I last saw her on Sunday, and she went to the doctors on Monday and found out she had glandular fever. We only kissed on the lips that Saturday. The last time we'd properly kissed was the preceding Thursday.She asked the doctor how likely it is I will now have it and was told that as long as we avoid saliva contact from now on it's not very likely I will catch it. This seems hard to believe is it true? I'm concerned as I have exams in 3 weeks.Thanks in advance
