How does acupuncture work?
I know it's been proven to help with stress and depression etc, but how does it actually work?No it hasn't. Undergoing acupuncture has been proven to reduce rates of recidivism in criminals and like I said it is beneficial in cases of clinical depression and those who are stressed it may well be a placebo effect, but it may not. My question is relating to if anybody knows how the insertion of needles works in terms of skin sensors and nerves.

What kind of class activity could i do for acupuncture in my health class?
I have a class project due soon and I need to have a website, a poster and a class activity that can persuade my audience to want to do acupuncture. I am already almost done with my website but I need help on the class project. It needs to be appropriate and effective I need to have an idea very soon so that I can show it 2 my class and get a good grade. So any ideas will help a lot. THANKS

Is acupuncture safe and pain free?
I used to take ballet and once I accidentally overstretched my leg and have had a problem with my hip and lower back for the past 2 1 2 years. I have gone to my chiropractor several times for multiple adjustments ever since this accident happened, but only receive temporary relief, not permanent. I have considered acupuncture, but I am really scared of needles and also I am afraid that if the person doing it makes a mistake, that I could possibly be paralyzed as a result.I need some knowledgeable info on this issue please

Has anyone tried reiki or cupping or acupuncture and did it make you feel any better?

What degrees for acupuncture and chinese herbal therapy?
My father does acupuncture and Chinese herbal therapy in China and got his license in America. I want to do the exact thing he is doing right now, but my father told me I have to get a MD degree and then take acupuncture license test to be like him. Is the MD mandatory? Since now I am a senior in highschool, I want to major in teaching and then take the MCAT to go for MD. If I don't pass the MCAT I can still pursue teaching, but my father said you can not take the acupuncture test and do acupuncture without a MD degree. Is that true? What routes do I need to take to be just like him?

Acupuncture and Chiropractic Care?
So, I have chronic TMD which has been effecting my ear every day since August 14th. Its not an ear infection because I was checked by my doctor and ENT specialist for infections and even given ear drops and medicine just in case, which never helped. I am pretty convinced it is from TMD now as my jaw has become a stress inflicted area in my life. However, treatment for TMD isn't very advanced yet, so all I have is a mouthguard to help and all that does is prevent me from grinding my teeth down. It doesn't help relieve my jaw tension. I have heard chiropractic care can really improve the symptoms of TMD and have heard of ear improvements with Acupuncture but, I would like to hear from more people who have experienced improvements personally or know someone who has. I've never been to a chiropractor or someone who specializes in acupuncture so I'm not sure what to expect and just would like some piece of mind from people who know what they are talking about.Please make sure your answer is at least a sentence long and mature because I have been getting some rude one word answers lately that I consider spam. I am taking this seriously, otherwise I would not be asking so please answer me seriously and helpfully because its frustrating to just sit around and wonder about your health with no real solutions.Thanks so much for your time and answers
